This year for Christmas we visited my family in Idaho. We had to pick the right travel day because of all the snow this year. We drove on Christmas Eve because a big storm was moving in on Christmas Day. This is how our adventure began.....

We got to Mom and Dad's and found out Mom had to go in an ambulance to the hospital in Idaho Falls. She had bent over in her wheel chair to reach the cell phone and pinched some already broken ribs causing severe pain. From that her blood pressure sky rocketed and she called 911 (since she was home alone......not a good idea.) So we made a gingerbread house, watched kid Christmas' videos, and at mac' n cheese.

Mom got home between 10 and 11 pm Christmas Eve and so our other festivities began. Dad read his "Casian Night Before Christmas" (from his mission to Tennesse/Kentucky) and we read the story of our Savior's birth in the scriptures. Allie and Jenny wrote a note to Santa and left him lots of cookies and chocolate milk because Allie wanted to be sure Santa liked his treats. Then off to bed so Santa could visit.

Christmas morning didn't come too early although after the eventful night if kind of felt like it. We all gathered in the living room to see what Santa brought........and boy were we spoiled.

Allie got right to work opening her stocking to find all the goodies she loved so much. She must have been a good girl........and she did see that Santa enjoyed her cookies and chocolate milk.

Kaylee on the other hand was mostly interested in filling her new sippy cup with juice and having some good breakfast.
