Our To-Do's Lately!

No pictures today, but soon I will post some Halloween pictures.  I just thought it would be fun to write down some of our recent events.  My Dad has been coming down to visit every weekend this month to help us build our basement.  What an awesome Dad I have.  He is such a big help to all of his kids and we sure do love and appreciate him.  We are almost ready for taping and texturing (which will be hired out).

Allie had a Grandparent program at school and her Grandpa James went to support her.  They sang songs for the Grandparents, ate cookies and wrote some Grandparent Memories together.  Allie loved it!  Her favorite song was "Here we go Zudio zudio zudio.  Here we go Zudio all night long.  Step back Sally, Sally Sally.  Step back Sally all night long...."  She sang it for me several times.  Its fun to see her learning new things at school.  She reads very well and likes math.  She just finished PE and is in Art class.  They got to make an Art Portfolio which she was so excited about.  She loves drawing, coloring, painting, cutting, and writing.  So basically she loves playing school all day!  When she gets up in the morning she is often found down at the table coloring.  We are so proud of her and love her.  She is also my best helper and often asks what she should do.  When I tell her to go play, so usually just wants to stay with me and help me do whatever I'm doing.  She is a good girl!

Kaylee enjoys playgroup and asks me "where are we going today."  When I tell her nowhere.  She gets frustrated and suggests all the neighbors we could go visit and play in their houses.  I don't think she understands the concept of being invited quite yet.  She really likes playing with toys and actually pretends pretty well.  I get a little concerned when she is putting her toys in time out and tell her we don't play time out.  She says "they've been naughty though."  I tell her not to pretend her toys are naughty.  Last weekend we watched the 3rd Tinkerbell movie and I found Kaylee and Allie pretending to fly.  Then today Kaylee asked me (after watching teridactles flying on Dinasoar Train) if I could buy her some wings so she could fly.  I told her people don't fly with wings, only birds and dinasoars.  She said the girl on Tinkerbell flew like this and demonstrated for me.  What could I say!  She is a funny girl and we love her bunches.

Sydney learned how to say baby, yet most of the time it sounds more like baba.  She also says Amen after folding her arms for prayers, which sounds more like Mamen.  She is quite the observer and is getting to be such a big girl.  She likes to follow Allie and Kaylee up the stairs when its bed time.  They almost always have a race.  Whoever is slowest has to sleep in Sydney's bed (crib).  So far it's still Sydney.  She really likes to play with the pretend kitchen and dishes.  And of course in my kitchen too.  The ziplock bags and towel drawer are her biggest temptations.  She does love the bowls too.  I stay busy trying to keep her busy!  We love our curious baby!

Jared has been busy with work and working in the basement.  I have been busy with home stuff, kiddos, and planning Relief Society activities.  We really feel blessed and appreciate so many things right now.  Life is full of adventures.......take advantage and enjoy the ride, whatever it may be!
